We've been meaning to make our way back to Excelsior Springs, MO for some BBQ after we failed to get there in time during our 2003 Colorado trip. Carrie and I went to Mason City, IA Friday night to see a horse show Saturday morning. Paul hooked up with us in Mason City before driving down.  P met us in Kearny. We drove through 4hrs of rain on Saturday. The BBQ was average by my standards. On the way home we drove by the Madison County covered bridges.
