| This
was an incredible trip over Labor Day weekend. The weather was perfect
besides some heavy wind on the way out. We traveled to Rapid City from
Minneapolis on a Friday and returned on Monday. Total distance including
our sightseeing was 1700miles. If you have a Garmin GPS with mapsource
software, you can download our tracks here. If you go there, make sure to drive Hwy 16A south of Rushmore, 87 south and North of Custer, and drive Spearfish Canyon. I rode a friend's (Mr. P) 1996 Triumph Trophy 900. Carrie rode our Kawasaki ZX6 halfway to Sioux Falls, SD where we left it at the airport. She jumped on the back of Mr. P's 2001 Honda Goldwing.
