Another fine weekend was ahead of us and we had no plans. Thursday night we decided it would be fun to do a loop around Lake Superior. The Iron Butt Association has a ride certification called the Lake Superior 1000. Circle Lake Superior in under 24hrs and cover at least 1000 miles.

We headed up to Duluth Friday after work. Woke up and set off at 6:00am across Wisconsin. Returned back across the top of the lake and made it to Duluth at 1:00am. We ran out of Daylight in Rossport. Canada got the better end of the deal as far as Lake Superior scenery goes. The stretch from Sault St. Marie to Wawa and Marathon to Red Rock was breathtaking.
