PIC00005.jpg (199776 bytes) Looking toward the front of the room. The first support of the rear seating is in place.
PIC00003.jpg (167087 bytes) The 2x2's on one of the exterior walls are glued and screwed with Tapcon concrete anchors to prevent vibration.
PIC00001.jpg (190965 bytes) This is a view looking at the future equiment rack wall. The audio and video equipment will be mounted in a Middle Atlantic rack. DVD storage is also planned under the stairs.
PIC00006.jpg (153604 bytes) Showing the stage from outside the theater. The step up into the theater will be in the recessed area of the framing. We are planning on using glass block under the stair treads and putting a light behind. Should be interesting.
PIC00007.jpg (158776 bytes) Again, from the rear
PIC00009.jpg (149776 bytes) Here's a detail of the platform/floor joint. Strips of 30lb felt (tarp paper) were put underneath the 2x10s. Construction adhesive was was then spread on each side and on all the joints. The attempt is to eliminate all sources of vibration.
PIC00010.jpg (151568 bytes) Looking from the front of the theater to the rear. A recessed spot is left for seating in the middle. Stairs will be built on either side.
